Chatmeisters:
Americans: Mensch, Spektre, Vanax
Dissidents: SaPanther
Note: Of all the chatters, Spektre is one of only a handful that chats in a more thoughtful and deliberate way.

Spektre: Vanax...did you get (my chat on) Tacitus (that I wrote long ago about) on your blog yet?
Vanax: Spektre, not yet, but I will...soon. Unsoma said that my blog sensationalizes the trivial. This is true, but only about what chatters say. And I do it because it's fun and it records human foibles, ours. But the blog also has hard politics. For example, I translated the whole of the State of the Union from lies to truth. So it's not solely trivial. Of all the chatters’ chats that I recorded, yours -- the one about Tacitus -- is the most serious so far.
Spektre: Mensch....I as well. Tacitus strikes me...as the best of the "noble savages"of the time....a true thinking, fair, honor bound warrior.
Spektre: Mensch, I much prefer Tacitus.
Spektre: Life is about being folded, spindled, and mutulated....trying to extract what pleasure you can, inbetween..and if you are able...give a little BACK. Thats the jist of it IMHO.
MENSCH: Spektre, Annals of Imperial Rome has always been my favourite.
SaPanther: Spektre, it's the fact you can't 'embrace' the truth of the cynic that means you aren't one ... of course there is some truth to the cynical view, as there is truth to the optimists view ... but I've know you long enough to know you don't ruly believe everyone is a greedy asshole; and that the world operates on machiavellian principles .. everyone is greedy, if you use a very broad definition of the word ,, but then again, people are capable of outstanding examples of selflessness ... if you think a firefighter goes into a burning building because of greed, I think someone has missed the point.
Spektre: Panther, thats nice of you*S*...but the only reason I might be called a romantic...is I can't bare to embrace what I feel often times, is the truth of the cynic...I believe the world IS mostly dark....So I just try to search for the weee little bits of light. *S*
Spektre: Mensch, I as well. Tacitus strikes me...as the best of the "noble savages"of the time....a true thinking, fair, honor bound warrior.
MENSCH: Spektre, Tacitus gaves us the most penetrating insight into Nero...that's what I thank him for.
Spektre: "The worst crime was dared by a few, willed by more, and tolerated by all"-Tacitus.
